Instructions
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
In a mixing bowl, place a sieve on top and add the flour, cinnamon and baking powder. Mix all ingredients together.
Add the sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract and salt to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
In another bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the mashed bananas to the batter and mix.
Grease a loaf pan with butter. Pour the batter into the pan and top with slices of banana, dates, nuts, and a sprinkle of kosher salt.
Bake for 70 minutes on 175°C (350°F).
Let the cake cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces of 2.5 cm (1 inch).
Notes
The outcome of this recipe improves when using ripe bananas because they are sweeter.
