Grate the cheese. Or -in case you have a strong blender- chop the cheese in chunks and add to a blender.
Add basil leaves, garlic and pine nuts to the blender. Blend.
Add salt, pepper and olive oil. Blend until smooth

Serving tip: serve the pesto with ciabatta. Cut the ciabatta, toast the bread, add pesto and add a few slices of mozzarella. Top with a bit of salt and pepper and a dash of olive oil.
