Cut a thick orange slice, about 1 cm (0.5 inch) thick.
Pinch the cloves into the orange slice. Squeeze the rest of the orange for juice.
Heat a pot over low to medium heat. Pour in the white wine and Aperol. Add the orange slice, anise, cinnamon, cardamom and allspice. Cover the pot with a lid.
Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes on low-medium heat. Do not boil. Serve hot.
