The holiday season is here and it’s the perfect time to find gifts for your loved ones! I have created an overview of products that will bring joy to everyone’s kitchens and dining tables. Some of these items are unbranded, while others come from brands I trust and love. I have mentioned the brands and in some cases added a clickable link. To make shopping easier, I have divided this holiday gift guide into four categories based on price: under 15 euros, under 30 euros, under 50 euros, and above 50 euros.
Side note: Some links are affiliate links that will direct you to European selling platforms or the brand’s website. If you are outside of Europe, I recommend copying the brand name and pasting it into Google.
Gifts under 15 euro
Christmas Ornaments in Food Shapes
These adorable ornaments show your guests that you are a real foodie! I am a big RHCP fan, so this year I am trying to get my hands on the red chili pepper. The lemon ornament comes from H&M Home and I have seen several stores selling the pickles. I have four pickles in my tree; two matte and two shiny, which were bought at Nanu-Nana.
Maldon Salt
Thanks to my friend who comes from the area where this salt is produced, I discovered this incredible sea salt that elevates any dish. If you are already familiar with this British brand, consider trying the smoked salt. It’s really nice to top on some smoked salmon cheese spread or on a poached egg.
Pasta Cutter
Perfect for the pasta lover who enjoys making fresh pasta at home. I got mine in Italy for a few euros at the market, but any local kitchen store sells them as well. Amazon sells them too.
Butter Knife
A stylish and practical addition to any table setting. This specific brand is called Sabre and they are producing high quality butter knives. Visit the website of this French brand to see more prints and colours.
Zigzag Cutter
Great for curries and other dishes as the sauce will stick. The one I use was bought from a Middle Eastern store around the corner. The store doesn’t sell them anymore, but Amazon does!
Cocktail Glasses
These fancy glasses are from the German brand Spiegelau. I had two, but they both recently broke! I will probably replace them, as they look beautiful in any picture or video (check out the Martini Espresso or Passion Star dessert video to judge for yourself). Pssst: they are cheaper on Westwing than on Spiegelau’s own website.
Purple Checkerboard Tablecloth
I received many questions about the lilac tablecloth I have been using for brunch and dinner parties. It’s from H&M Home, but it’s currently sold out. I haven’t found a similar one online yet. But you can find a budget friendly alternative in the same color -with checkerboard pattern- at Flying Tiger.
Gifts under 30 euro
Oil or Vinegar Dispenser
How beautiful are those dispensers! I am obsessed! They are both from the Italian brand Ichendorf. I found this brand while scrolling on Westwing but haven’t yet added one of these to my collection. For sure, these dispensers will elevate the look of your kitchen or dining table.
‘A Collection of Recipes’ Book
Designed by yours truly, this book is perfect for creative cooks to write down their culinary creations. The book is available on Amazon. Read more in this blog post.
Microplane Grater
This grater is the Rolex of cheese graters. I don’t own one myself, but some of my friends do, and I can tell the difference! You don’t need to use a lot of pressure while using the Microplane grater compare to other graters.
Cocktail Shaker
A cocktail shaker is perfect for any home bar. A brushed metal shaker hides scratches and fingerprints, and therefore I would recommend avoiding any shiny ones. Never shared before, but cocktail shakers are perfect for making iced coffees too!
Linen Table Cloth
A beautiful beige cloth that adds elegance to any dining table.
Candle Holder
Pair it with twisted candles for a stunning table centerpiece. This stylish candle holder by Stoff Nagel can be used by itself, or with its twins, as connecting them will result in a bigger art piece. You can find them on Westwing.
Serving Spoons
These cute serving spoons with bamboo handles are from H&M Home.
Gifts under 50 euro
Wooden Chopping Board
One of Forketti’s latest treasures. This one is the brand Erreke and is available on Amazon.
Chef Knife
A high-quality knife, also from Amazon, that every cook needs. I am using a budget friendly one from the brand Echtwerk which I received as a gift a few years ago.
Linen Apron
A practical and beautiful apron in a mid-dark color. I bought my sage green apron years ago at the Dutch store Xenos, they don’t sell them anymore but plenty of other stores are selling similar ones.
Slow Juicer
Using a slow juicer in the spring and summer is fantastic for making fresh fruit and vegetable juices. The one I have is the Philips HR1832/00, but there are many other brands available!
Cheese Fondue Set
Perfect for cozy gatherings and a fun way to enjoy melted cheese. A set like this would also be useful for chocolate fondue. The one pictured comes from the brand Boska.
Pasta Maker
Ideal for anyone who loves making fresh pasta at home. My pasta maker is an unbranded one, but I am still happy to use it.
Poffertjes Pan
These Dutch mini pancakes are a treat, and this pan is a great gift for someone who loves pancakes. My nephews and nieces love this traditional Dutch dish! I have also been making Kanom Krok (Thai coconut pancakes) in this pan. I bought mine at Xenos years ago but literally every kitchen store in the Netherlands sells them!
Gifts over 50 euro
Casa Juna Tablecloth
This Dutch tablecloth brand makes some beautiful eyecatchers. This stunning checkerboard design has lobsters on the edge and comes in different sizes. Also worth to check Casa Juna’s website to see other designs.
Food processor
A dream gift for any baker or chef. I have been using the KitchenAid Food processor at friends’ places, and it makes baking much easier. You just add all ingredients to a bowl and let the machine do the work! Last week I used it for the first time to make pasta dough, and the dough came out perfectly!
Alessi Water Boiler or Coffee Maker
Italian design at its best; I recently bought a second-hand Alessi kettle in a grey blueish colour at an online German marketplace. Love it! I don’t own the Alessi Coffee Maker but a friend of mine does, and it looks beautiful and is practical in use.
Aarke Water Carbonator
I am still very much enjoying the Aarke water carbonator, and therefore it can’t miss in this list. I have the one in the colour sand, but they have several colours available.
Bamix Handmixer
A must-have for serious home cooks who need a reliable hand mixer.
I hope this guide gives you some inspiration and helps you find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. If you still don’t know what to get, consider buying an experience (cooking class, wine tasting, day at the spa).
