It was one of the first recipes I learned as a child, and over the years I have perfected it by experimenting with different types of bread. This French toast is a classic recipe that is easy peasy and takes you probably less than 10 minutes to make. You can top it with banana, berries or any other fruit you like. French Toast
Egg Soaked Bread

Equipment
- frying pan
- Deep plate or bowl
- Whisk or fork
Ingredients
- 2 slices bread
Egg Mixture
- 60 ml milk
- 3 eggs
- a little bit of cinnamon
- a bit of salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
Topping
- 1 tbsp honey or use maple syrup
- a bit of icing sugar
- kiwi, necatrine, blueberries
- 1/2 lime
Instructions
- Beat the eggs in a bowl by using a whisk or fork
- Add milk, cinnamon, salt and pepper to the bowl and mix
- Place a slice of bread into the mixture, allowing each side to soak for at least 20 to 30 seconds. Use a spatula or your fingers to flip the bread, being careful to avoid tearing it.
- Use a frying pan and melt butter over high heat. Add the slice of bread and fry until both sides are golden brown.
- Clean and cut the fruits, then add lime juice.
- Cut the toast diagonally and serve with fruits, icing sugar and a little bit of honey or butter
