This post is for all fellow hot sauce lovers 🔥 I have made several versions of this salsa picante, but this one deserves a permanent place on my blog. For this recipe, I used tomatoes and very spicy chilis. You can adjust the heat level by adding more or fewer chilis, depending on your personal preferences. I have added smoked paprika powder for a deep, smoky flavour and balanced it with a bit of lime juice. Additionally, I have added a few coriander leaves and a bit of salt.
I used my supersonic Bamix hand blender to mix everything, but you can also chop the ingredients and use a mortar and pestle. Blend it smooth, let it chill in the fridge before serving it. It tastes good on tacos, shakshuka, scrambled eggs, or on roasted veggies.
It is quite easy and quick to make your own homemade hot sauce at home and it is ready within a few minutes. I am calling this one ‘Hot as Hell‘ so you won’t confuse it with the other chili sauce recipe I posted a while ago. Hope you like it as much as I do! Let me know once you have made it 🙂
A special thanks goes to my Mexicans friend’s Mom, who shared with me her method of making a hot sauce. Muchas gracias!
