Spicy Cucumber Salad
Asian Cucumber Salad with Soy Sauce and Sesame Seeds

Equipment
- Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 big cucumber 1 big one equals 3 small ones
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- a bit mixed pepper
OPTIONAL
- 1 clove garlic
TOPPING
- a bit sesame seeds black and/or white
Instructions
- Start with the dressing. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, honey, paprika powder, chili flakes and mixed pepper to a bowl and mix. OPTIONAL: Grate some garlic and mix it in with a spoon or fork.
- Clean and cut the cucumber by removing the ends, slicing it lengthwise and cutting it into thin slices. Add the cucumber to the dressing.
- Let the cucumber soak for at least 10 minutes. Strain the cucumber and serve it in a deep bowl or on a plate. Add some sesame seeds on top.
Notes
For this recipe, I used a Zigzag cutter because it creates edges that help the sauce stick better after cutting.
