Homemade Almond Milk

Equipment

  • cheese cloth or clean dish towel
  • blender
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients
 

  • 100 grams almonds unsalted
  • 2 dates
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp salt
  • 0.5 liter water for soaking
  • 1 liter water for blending

Instructions

  • Rinse the almonds with water. Add the washed almonds to a bowl, cover with water and let soak for 4-5 hours.
  • Discard the soaking water, rinse the almonds, and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the dates, vanilla extract, salt, and fresh water. Blend until smooth.
  • In another large mixing bowl, place a cheesecloth or clean dish towel. Pour in the almond mixture. Gather the edges and twist to strain the milk.
  • Transfer the almond milk to a glass bottle.
