Hi everyone! Wondering how to make almond milk from scratch? It’s easy, and in this blog post I’ll show you exactly how I make it. This recipe is short and quick, so fasten your seatbelts, we’ll arrive sooner than you expect.
Almonds
The first and most important ingredient is almonds. Make sure to use unsalted almonds that aren’t coated with anything like sugar. It doesn’t matter if they’re blanched or not. I usually use whole almonds, simply because I already have them at home.
Sweetener
I like to add dates, as they give the almond milk a natural sweetness. Alternatively, you can use honey, maple syrup, or any other sweetener you like.
How Long Does It Last?
Use a clean glass bottle or jar and sterilize it before use. I usually boil water in a kettle, pour it into the bottle, let it sit for a few minutes, and then discard the water. It’s important to work clean and pour the almond milk into the sterilized bottle. It will last in the fridge for 5 to 6 days. I recommend to give it a good shake before using.
Remix
Add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice for extra flavor.
