This mango smoothie bowl is one of the best treats you can start your day with on a warm summer morning. It’s almost like having ice cream for breakfast, but better, as it’s low in fat and contains no added sugar, only the natural sugars from the fruit.
Personally, I love making this recipe. Not only does it taste great, but the variety of colours also makes it a feast for the eyes. It’s almost like eating an edible rainbow, as all the colours can be found in this bowl.
Blender
It’s essential to use a blender for this recipe. As you can see in this video, I used a small smoothie blender, but that one has unfortunately broken. These days, I make it with a hand blender, but you can also use a stand blender.

Mango Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients
SMOOTHIE
- 170 grams mango frozen
- 1 banana frozen
- 4 tbsp oats
- 125 ml coconut drink
- 4 tbsp shredded coconut
TOPPING
- 3 tbsp granola
- 1/2 tsp chia seeds
- a few blueberries and/or blackberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 nectarine
- 1 passion fruit
- 1 tsp shredded coconut
- a few mint leaves
Instructions
SMOOTHIE
- Add oats, milk, frozen banana, frozen mango, and shredded coconut to a blender. Blend until smooth.
TOPPING
- Slice the banana, chop the nectarine and cut the passion fruit in halves.
- Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl.
- Cover half of the bowl with granola and arrange the banana slices in a row.
- Next to the banana slices, add the chopped nectarine, berries and passion fruit.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut flakes and chia seeds on top of the banana slices.
- Add a few mint leaves next to the passion fruit.
