Pickled Onions
Sweet Sour Pink Onions

Equipment
- glass jar
Ingredients
- 2 red onions
- 30 ml boiled water
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 lime
- 1 tsp honey
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tsp thyme
- a bit pepper
- a bit salt
Instructions
- Remove the outer layer of the red onions, then cut them in half and slice into thin half-moon slices.
- Add to a glass jar; boiled water, honey, thyme leaves and bay leaves.
- Add the sliced red onions to the jar, separating them slightly as you do.
- Pour in the lime juice and white wine vinegar. Seal the jar with a lid.
- Shake the jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Notes
I like adding pickled onions to various dishes, such as tacos, tuna salad, and Chili Sin Carne.
