Ingredients
 

  • 180 ml aperol
  • 750 ml white wine pinot grigio (or any other)
  • 1 orange
  • 3 stars anise
  • 2 stick cinnamon
  • 12 cloves
  • 5 pods cardamom
  • 5 berries all spice aka piment

Instructions

  • Cut a thick orange slice, about 1 cm (0.5 inch) thick.
  • Pinch the cloves into the orange slice. Squeeze the rest of the orange for juice.
  • Heat a pot over low to medium heat. Pour in the white wine and Aperol. Add the orange slice, anise, cinnamon, cardamom and allspice. Cover the pot with a lid.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes on low-medium heat. Do not boil. Serve hot.
